FLIGHT Program

FLIGHT is an exclusive Honors College program that teams up honors upperclassmen with first-year honors students. FLIGHT Mentors aim to serve as positive role models and GCU experts while offering various strategies for success, support and encouragement, campus-wide resources, networking opportunities and more.

FLIGHT Program Offers:

  • One interactive seminar, one honors event with mentor per semester
  • Weekly Honors After Dark study sessions with ACE to encourage and promote academic success
  • Individual and small group mentorship with upperclassmen honors students
  • Special invitations and priority reservations for honors-exclusive events
  • An opportunity to connect and build a network with fellow honors peers

Who is a mentor?

Mentors are upperclassmen honors students who have successfully navigated their way through the first-year experience of being an honors student in the areas of academics, student involvement and personal growth. A mentor is genuinely interested in the success of others. Note: CCSC students can earn hours through participating as a mentor.

Who can be a mentee?

Although geared towards first-year honors students, any honors student can sign up to as a mentee. FLIGHT is designed to provide mentees with academic and social support, campus-wide connections and helpful resources as they transition into the Honors College.

How do I sign up to be a mentor or mentee?
