Grand Canyon University's Transfer Experience
Continuing your educational journey is exciting! However, there are many unknowns when looking for the right university. It's important to GCU that students feel confident in their decision and happy about their choice. That's why we offer Transfer Experience, our all-expenses paid visit* where future Lopes can get a feel for the GCU college experience.
Transfer Experience is an opportunity for you to see firsthand what it means to be a student at GCU.
During this overnight campus visit, you will stay in a suite-style residence hall, dine at popular campus eateries and meet other future Lopes and current students. You'll also experience campus life by attending an athletic event, theatre performance, student engagement event or concert, just to name a few. Transfer Experience is also a chance to take a campus tour led by a GCU student, visit the Lope Shops, meet with an admissions counselor, learn about our various degree programs and attend an informative presentation. This experience is for transfer students under the age of 22.
During this one-day visit, you will arrive to campus in the morning and leave in the evening. You will meet other future Lopes and current students, dine at popular campus eateries, take a campus tour led by a GCU student, learn about our various degree programs and attend an informative presentation. This one-day experience is for transfer students 23 or older.
Program-Specific Transfer Experience
GCU wants to help you Find Your Purpose, so we offer two-night, program-specific Transfer Experience events that happen once in the fall and once in the spring. Available for transfer students under the age of 22.
During these events, you will:
- Gain in-depth program information.
- Engage in hands-on activities.
- Learn more about scholarship opportunities.

How to Attend
To be eligible to attend Transfer Experience, you must be admissible to GCU. A conversation with your admissions counselor is required prior to confirmation to attend Transfer Experience and approval to travel. Your admissions counselor will lead you through the qualification and registration process.
